To celebrate the New Year, I joined approximately 75 to 100 other people who jumped into the Ohio River at 9:30 a.m. on New Years Day, 2003. The air temperature was a relatively mild 40 degrees, but the water temperature was frigid. Honestly, the hardest part was getting out of bed.
