I have been a
United States patent agent since 2001 and a licensed dentist
since 1996. Prior to entering dental private practice, I spent
several years in hospital residencies in
Philadelphia and New York, where I received training in
advanced surgical techniques. In 2001 I enrolled in the Duquesne
University Law School evening program while continuing to
practice dentistry by day, and I graduated in June 2005.
During law school, I served as a member and comment editor of the Duquesne Law
Review, as well as the chairman of the Duquesne Intellectual
Property Law Association. I also functioned as a research assistant
to Joel Fishman, Ph.D.
I am interested
in both litigation and transactional aspects of intellectual
property law. I have explored issues in numerous areas of IP
law, including copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and cyberlaw.
