This is a photograph that was taken by my friend Mike. The image
is a panorama of the apartment community where he lived in Champaign, Illinois,
which was a pretty great place to live. I regularly visited this place and I
spent a lot of quality hours soaking up the sheer beauty of the place and the
friendliness of the locals. It was my personal getaway during my years in
residency, and sometimes I wish that Mike had never moved.
The photo was taken in late summer 2000 with Mike's Olympus 2020 Z digital camera. The view is from near Mike's patio, which was only about twenty meters from the edge of lake. Imagine waking up to this view in the morning!
