Over four years after its completion, the editors of the Compendium finally published an article I wrote with my co-resident Margaret Chiu and our attending Steve Moriconi while I was a resident at Abington Memorial Hospital in 1996-7. Despite being listed as the first author on the article, I didn't know that it was published until a friend told me that she had heard about it. When I called the editors to ask about the publication they apologized and promptly Fed-ex'd twelve copies to me. What the heck I'm going to do with these I don't know. At least I got my name on the cover...
